TBA Theatre
TBA stands for "Training Better Artists Toward a Better Alaska!" Our friends at TBA have been partners for years. TBA has provided us with technical support, educational experiences, rehearsal space, costumes and scenery! And we've helped them out as well. TBA's staff has been invaluable in helping us create many of the performances you see coming from West High. Many of our students have gone on to participate in TBA shows, workshops and summer camps. We LOVE TBA! -
Anchorage Opera
Incorporated in 1962, Anchorage Opera has evolved from an all-volunteer community organization to its present status as Alaska's only professional opera company. Anchorage Opera produces three operas each year in the Discovery Theatre of the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts. Our partnership with the Opera has included technical support and advice, advertising trading and scenery use. We are most excited about a new part of our partnership which includes student Internships! Currently several West students are interning at the Opera learning all sorts of skills. West students not only attend opera productions, but are also becoming members of the chorus. We look forward to a growing relationship with our friends at the Anchorage Opera!
