Students will concentrate on reading and analyzing representative plays from the theatrical canon. These include Shakespearean plays and scripts from the modern age. Students will work on character development and analysis. Special projects will round out the process including directing a one act. Students will also be required to attend three (3) theatrical events in the community and two (2) auditions each semester.
Current Projects
We begin the year with Arthur Miller's "Death of a Salesman," the hallmark American Drama. Analyzing this work will begin our exploration of character development. Additionally, we will begin looking at theatre history.
