Introduction to acting. This class focuses on a broad overview of theatrical history from prehistoric times until the modern era. Different theatrical styles will be investigated. Each unit will incorporate theatre history with warm-up exercises, improvisational theatre techniques and developing acting skills. Students will also be required to attend two (2) theatrical events in the community each semester. Students will begin to develop vocabulary and an eye for critical analysis of performance and scripts.

For the next couple weeks we will be looking at Greek Theatre and practicing activities which will lead to our first graded performance, a choral reading.
